INNOPROM-2019: STANDARDIZATION FOR DIGITAL ECONOMY

YEKATERINBURG, July 12, 2019 – 10th International industrial fair INNOPROM-2019 completed its work in Yekaterinburg. Numerous events within the exhibition included an intersectoral session «Standardization in Digital Manufacturing», where the deputy Head of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology (Rosstandart) Anton Shalaev took part.

The issues of technical regulation and standardization for digital economy, development of unified qualifier for industrial output and use of screening tools of production compliance at its introduction to the markets were discussed within the session.

Opening the event, the president of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) Alexander Shokhin noted that nowadays business is faced by a serious problem – necessity of radical investment increase into fixed capital and instruments of technical regulation and standardization have to promote efficiency increase.

The Chairman of the RSPP Committee for technical regulation, standardization and conformity assessment, the chairman of the board of directors of PJSC TMK Dmitry Pumpyanskiy took notice of the currently discussed initiatives for amending the Federal law «On Standardization in the Russian Federation». These initiatives, in particular, are related to the use of standardization instruments in digital economy. «I hope, the relevant legislative initiatives to standardization law can be forwarded to the State Duma this summer already», – underlined Dmitry Pumpyanskiy.

In his report Anton Shalaev focused on standardization problems in digital economy, in particular, on international and regional standardization organizations’ projects on the development of common solutions in the field of so-called «SMART Standards» applied by information systems in machine-readable and machine-comprehended mode that promotes increase in efficiency of standards application in digital manufacturing.

The session was also attended by the Head of the Federal Accreditation Service Alexey Khersontsev, Head of the department of state policy in the field of technical regulation, standardization and ensuring unity of measurements of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Oksana Mezenceva, Chairman of the board of SMS Group GmbH Damen Burkhardt, managing director for standardization of the German Institute for Standardization (DIN) Ulrike Bonsak, the SIEMENS director of technical regulation and standardization Markus Raygl and other experts.
