COOPERATION AREAS WITH UNECE DISCUSSED AT ROSSTANDART

MOSCOW, July 10, 2019 – International cooperation was discussed on July 9, 2019 in Rosstandart at a meeting of the Head of administration and external relations department Maria Pishchulina with representatives of working and advisory groups of UNECE.

Chairman of UNECE Advisory Group on Market Surveillance Vera Despotović, secretary of UNECE Working Group on Regulatory Cooperation and Standardization Policies Lorenza Jachia and coordinator of UNECE Group of Experts on Risk Management in Regulatory Systems Valentin Nikonov were UNECE delegation members.

Among agenda items - development of bilateral cooperation in education sector, experience exchange in the field of market surveillance and risk management, sustainable development goals determined by the UN.

It should be recalled that UNECE was founded in 1947 and today is a demanded multilateral platform for interaction on the issues of transport, power, trade, environment and housing. 56 states, including Europe, former Soviet states, USA, Canada, Turkey and Israel are UNECE members.

Following the meeting results, Parties will continue interaction in the current directions and consider the opportunities for collaboration expansion.
