Rosstandart presented the fuel quality chart of Russia

Publication date:

VLADIMIR OBLAST, November 20, 2019 - Within the framework of the Fuel Without Cheating information project, Rosstandart has presented the Russian Fuel Quality Chart, which visualizes the market situation in the regions based on the facts of the surrogate turnover and the percentage of detected violations for 9 months of the current year. The chart was presented on November 20 as part of public hearings on fuel quality in Vladimir Oblast.

The public hearings were attended by the deputy head of Rosstandart Alexey Kuleshov, the head of the central interregional territorial administration of Rosstandart Marina Kalinnikova, the deputy head of the Department of State Control and Supervision Oksana Borodina, representatives of the Administration of Vladimir Oblast, the Prosecutor's Office, public organizations, the United Russia party and the fuel market of Vladimir Oblast.

The head of the central interregional territorial administration Marina Kalinnikova told about the situation in the field of illicit trafficking in automobile fuel and the measures taken by Rosstandart to counter illegal trafficking in automobile fuel in the Central Federal District. Deputy Head of the State Standard Supervision Department of Rosstandart Oksana Borodina introduced the Russian Fuel Quality Chart to the audience. The chart clearly shows the regions where the fuel quality problem is acute, and the ones where the presence of counterfeit is practically absent. Such an assessment is necessary for the territorial administrations of Rosstandart and other concerned authorities for making decisions on the organization of supervisory measures. The information will also be useful to the authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation to determine further joint actions with supervisory authorities in this area. The chart will be updated twice a year.

Vladimir Oblast was chosen as the place of presentation, since the situation with the surrogate turnover on the regional market remains extremely adverse.

"The analysis shows that counterfeit turnover in Vladimir Oblast is more than a third of the market, which significantly exceeds the average figures for the Central Federal District. In the district as a whole, counterfeit turnover does not exceed 5 % of the market. And to solve the problem of addressing counterfeiting, the interaction of all government bodies, regional authorities, public organizations, and market consumers is necessary", – said Deputy Head of Rosstandart Alexey Kuleshov in his closing remarks.
