Three interstate standardization technical committees have been created

REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN, October 21, 2019 – Events in the framework of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (EASC) were held on October 16-18, 2019 in Almaty (Republic of Kazakhstan). Among the events – the 58th meeting of the Scientific and Technical Commission for Standardization of the EASC (NITC) and the 5th meeting of the Working Group on the organization of work of the ITC EASC (WG ITC).

The event was attended by representatives of the national bodies for standardization, Metrology and certification of Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee, Bureau for EASC standards, interstate technical committees for standardization. The Russian delegation was headed by Anton Shalaev, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for technical regulation and metrology (Rosstandart). The delegation also included representatives of the Central office of Rosstandart, STANDARTINFORM, INTERSTANDART.

As part of the exchange of experience, interstate technical committees for standardization presented reports on the organization of their activities. In addition, recommendations were adopted on the merger of interstate technical committees, the transfer of business to the ITC, as well as on the establishment of new interstate technical committees for standardization: "Land reclamation", "Metrological support of production and accounting of energy resources (liquids and gases)", "Construction".

Also among the results – the adoption of a new edition of the fundamental interstate standard GOST 1.6 "Interstate system standardization. The program of works on interstate standardization. Rules of formation, acceptance, modification and monitoring" and continuation of works on revision of the basic interstate standard GOST 1.4-2015 "Interstate system of standardization. Interstate technical committees for standardization. Rules of creation and activity", which also includes methods of assessing the effectiveness of the interstate technical committees for standardization (ITC), the form of a model report of the ITC and the single Provision of the ITC as annexes.

Special attention of the participants was focused on the cooperation of the IGS with the European regional standardization organizations CEN/CENELEC.
