THE RESULTS OF RUSSIAN-CHINESE COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF STANDARDIZATION, METROLOGY AND CERTIFICATION FOR 2021 HAVE BEEN SUMMED UP

MOSCOW, December 1, 2021 – The 19th meeting of the Permanent Russian-Chinese Working Group on standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and inspection control of the Sub-commission on Trade and Economic cooperation Commission
on preparation of regular meeting of the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China summed up the results of sectoral cooperation between the parties during
the year. The meeting was held in the format of a videoconference chaired by Anton Shalaev, Head of Rosstandart, and Chun Pu, Vice Minister of the State Administration for Market Regulation of the People's Republic of China (SAMR). Representatives of Rosstandart, the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the Federal Accreditation Service, the Russian Institute for Standardization, the Academy of Standardization, Metrology and Certification, the Gorbatov Federal Research Center for Food Systems and other organizations also took part in the meeting from the Russian side. The Chinese delegation included more than 30 representatives of the Chinese Administration for Market Regulation and experts of enterprises.

"Despite the continuation of the global coronavirus pandemic, 2021 has become
the most productive year in the twenty-year history of cooperation between
the two countries in the field of quality infrastructure. This year, the parties held
a number of industry events, as a result of which fundamental decisions were reached. Thus, the parties exchanged information on certification requirements for electric vehicles and intelligent vehicles, informed each other about the practice of conducting remote conformity assessment in the context of a coronavirus pandemic, cooperated
in the development of standards for aviation equipment, coals and feed, organized comparisons to determine the sulfur and moisture content in oil and petroleum products. The parties also discussed the procedures for further cooperation on the sidelines of international and regional organizations for standardization, such as the International Organization for Standardization, the International Electrotechnical Commission and the Association of BRICS countries
